Jason Makuch attended the Special Events Finals in September of 2004. He enjoyed the tough truck challenge so much, that he bought his first truck that same weekend. 2005 was his first year out and he was fortunate enough to pick up a sponsorship with Dynomax and joined up with team mate, Lionel Easler driving the Rancho Chevy. In 2006, Jason and Lionel were close in points, battling for the 2006 USHRA Championship. Lionel took home the championship, but this rookie was trailing right behind with a 2 nd place finish.
